Macaroni Kid Bronxville is pleased to introduce you to our newest sponsor, Magical Movements School of Dance in Harrison!  Celebrating their 13 year, Magical Movements has welcomed children and adults with unique classes at their spacious dance studio. A friendly, professional staff provides sincere, personal treatment, meeting children's and parents needs. While there is an emphasis on technique and creativity, students feel comfortable and enjoy themselves. From Mommy & Me and Fairytale Ballet to Pop Star Kids, Modern, and Lyrical, Magical Movements is a place to start and a place to stay.

Owner, Linda Francica Laraqui, a Pelham Manor native, began her performing arts training at 7 years-old. She studied at Manhattanville College, majoring in Dance and Theatre. Linda performed in the realm of renowned choreographers, and was president of the college’s student dance organization for two years. During this time, she danced on MTV’s Direct Effect, studied voice, and appeared in a TV commercial. She worked with children at studios, pre-schools, and artistic programs across Westchester County. With a childhood dream, and the guidance of her entrepreneurial dad, Linda opened Magical Movements School of Dance in 2003. She not only directs the studio, but teaches actively, entertains at birthday parties, runs the summer camp, coaches and choreographs The Shooting Stars, Magical Movements' pre-teen/teen dance company.

My girls, Emi (6) and Lia (3) have been dancing at Magical Movements for a few years now.  Emi started at the age of two in a Mommy and Me class and has been dancing since. Lia started this summer in Pop Star kids and is eagerly waiting for her new class to start next week.  I have watched Ms. Linda, their preferred teacher teach them dance in the most creative, fun ways. When you choose this studio you can guarantee your kids will be given the best experience. She runs the studio in a professional manner and provides parents the opportunity to view their children in the waiting room on a television screen.

Emi danced in her first recital last spring.  Ms. Linda and her team put on a show that doesn’t compare to other studios.  We were in a local high school auditorium with air conditioning and watched as if we were at a big theater production. Emi felt like she was a star on Broadway and that is due to Ms. Linda’s commitment to her students.

Emi and Lia are heading back next week to start a new season of dance. Whether you have a beginner or an experienced dancer this is the place for you! Visit Magical Movements website to see all the classes offered for the fall season. You can also stop by their Open House, this Sunday, September 11th, 11am-4pm at 33 Halstead Avenue, Harrison, NY 10528.
