Happy Friday all! We took a break these last two weeks for some much-needed family and vacation time, but we are back...! As we savor our last few days of summer, we are also prepping for back to school. Today I'm hanging up our brand spanking new Chore Charts (see pic below), showing the kids how to sort the recyclables and take out the trash and then heading to the pool.
This week, as usual, we have a newsletter chock full of end-of-summer events! If you've found some great, family-friendly, summer events through Macaroni Kid please consider sharing the love and forwarding the newsletter to a friend, sharing it in a Facebook group, or telling your child's school about this free resource!
In this week's newsletter:
- Read about our trip to The Liberty Science Center.
- Browse through some great suggestions for Coping with Back to School Anxiety.
- Learn how to create Stick and Yarn Art and how to make Two Minute Cinnamon Rolls (yum!)
- Looking for a some ideas for the last two week's before school? Check out our list of 101 Local Day Trip Ideas for you!
- Our local Farmers' Markets are back! Check out our listings of family- friendly favorites.
- We've started a list of Kids Eat Free or Cheap. Please let us know of any we missed! We'll add to this weekly.
